I was caught in the storm yesterday. 20 solid minutes stuck at the side of the highway, hazard lights on, praying and listening for the storm to die down. I also witnessed the tall arch at the roundabout near Jame' fell to the ground like timber Monday night. To those affected by the big storm, our thoughts are with all of you......

His Majesty's 61st Birthday: Bersama Rakyat

Bersama Rakyat meaning a royal get-together, a chance for the people of Brunei to get up close to meet and greet His Majesty. His Majesty's didn't disappoint, shaking hands with his subjects who eagerly awaited from early morning, along the maze of white tented platform at the Taman all the way to the student lined streets towards the Mercu Dirgahayu Monument at the old customs building. I was most impressed when His Majesty even stopped and pose for a little girl who requested a picture with her small digital cam and all this under the hot blaring sun.

Sexy Thing

The minute I saw this beauty in its box, SEXY was the first word that comes to mind. I wanted to achieve that look where designers sell new products every season.. This sexy CHANEL heels was a good start for a product shoot with my new studio set up and minimum photoshop! The new pair was knicked (now she knows haha!!) from Miss Kitty who bought it from her recent trip to Europe... Beautiful!
Ladies, Would u buy it though just by looking at it?....I know it cost a bomb (about a the same cost as a canon 16-35mm lens to be exact)!

When I heard about a Brazilian Martial Art showcase, immediately I thought of CAPOEIRA. CAPOEIRA a National martial art of Brazil, involves acrobatic moves and twist. I first encountered it, as a street performance in Soho, NY not too long ago. I find the the acrobatic moves flow hand-in-hand with the samba music!
As expected, it was good and energetic show, it even got me off my seat eventho I was feeling exhausted from my Sunday.............

After this shot my SLIK tripod went snap, it broke! My immediate reaction at that time was to grab my camera and lens safely in my hands. Pheeeww! The tripod had served me well and I had it for ages since 1999. Oh well.
