Part 3: Feeling Festive

As predicted after today's last sungkai, the atmosphere was broken by the concoction of sound from the thud, crackle and pop of the surrounding neighbourhood. Yes, Ramadhan is over and raya eve is here. Even now as I am writing this blog, the whistling sound followed by echoey thunder, crackling fire crackers and the popping sounds from the distant luminous fireworks that lit the nite sky, all part of the annual ritual of ushering in the new month of Syawal.......
