Cozy Tandoor

I was invited for lunch to this new place tucked above I-Mart, at the new building block facing Gadong market near the Kiulap roundabout. The minute you walked through the door, you can't help but to focus your attention to the the slim aquariums that act as partition between the tables..nice! The food was so-so and the service was a bit slow, but then again they only opened recently so I give it a couple more weeks before they get the hang of things. At the end of our meal, two ornamental boxes were brought to our table, the small box containing toothpick and the bigger one containing a selection of mint spices, to cleanse and neutralise the mouth after the tandoori.? Lunar Ghost

This week is the start of the Chinese Ghost Month, that time of the year where you will see incense and offerings light up at roadside entrance of Chinese residence, as offerings for the spirits of the underworld. Somehow rather it has an effect on people too, Ooh the drama. Coincidently this is also my pink elephant week, the part only one can see it's all wrong but nothing you can do about it!

I recently had a chance to work with the official sponsor of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. When they approached me, I though it was a half day shoot. The assignment took 2 days from Bandar to Tutong down to KB. I enjoyed working with the crew who were very helpful in getting the shots. Over the years, Hyundai have manage to soar as one of the reliable and well known car in the market

Smoky Monday

Monday was a good day to have a barbie to top off the long weekend. No jumping in the pool this time though, just a nice quiet dinner in the cool sea breeze and music accompanying the hot and juicy lamb shanks.

Glutton Sunday

I woke up to an early Sunday, rushed to catch the sun shining onto a certain building and to meet the shutterbugs at JC enough to sink my teeth into the addictive buttermilk bun. Have u tried it just out of the oven? Just be there at JC before 9am every morning, this is the time where the buns are just out of the oven. That morning after JC spurred my appetite for eating non stop, chicken rice ( two servings of it..haha!), soto tinis and finally had mee hoon kampung and claypot noodle at this 24 hr place after the movie at midnight.

Did I just had a glutton Sunday or what? Now where did I put my running shoes....

Back Free

Only a couple hours in the kingdom, I had to rush for a last minute do. This holiday turns out to be a shooting practice plus the perk of getting paid for it. Nice..I thought I post this after my free trip holiday, flights n accomodation. Thank you Royal Skies!!

This is the time to walk around bandar at night, take in the air looking at the people, kids, colourful cuculs and the smoky gerai perayaan or you can just come here to this place. Unless otherwise the rain beat u there, in any case bring ur umbrella. Tonite will be the lantern procession and fireworks in bandar, unfortunately I won't be able to go but I'm sure the other shutterbugs are there already. For now, I'm taking a breather, folks...
