Feeling Festive 2
I have grown up to see this made over and over againl. Yet, I have never mastered the art of making it. Days leading up to raya, our kitchen is overloaded with these babies........

Cozy Tandoor

I was invited for lunch to this new place tucked above I-Mart, at the new building block facing Gadong market near the Kiulap roundabout. The minute you walked through the door, you can't help but to focus your attention to the the slim aquariums that act as partition between the tables..nice! The food was so-so and the service was a bit slow, but then again they only opened recently so I give it a couple more weeks before they get the hang of things. At the end of our meal, two ornamental boxes were brought to our table, the small box containing toothpick and the bigger one containing a selection of mint spices, to cleanse and neutralise the mouth after the tandoori.? Try and experience, Tandoori.com.

60

This is the time to walk around bandar at night, take in the air looking at the people, kids, colourful cuculs and the smoky gerai perayaan or you can just come here to this place. Unless otherwise the rain beat u there, in any case bring ur umbrella. Tonite will be the lantern procession and fireworks in bandar, unfortunately I won't be able to go but I'm sure the other shutterbugs are there already. For now, I'm taking a breather, folks...

His Majesty's 61st Birthday: Bersama Rakyat

Bersama Rakyat meaning a royal get-together, a chance for the people of Brunei to get up close to meet and greet His Majesty. His Majesty's didn't disappoint, shaking hands with his subjects who eagerly awaited from early morning, along the maze of white tented platform at the Taman all the way to the student lined streets towards the Mercu Dirgahayu Monument at the old customs building. I was most impressed when His Majesty even stopped and pose for a little girl who requested a picture with her small digital cam and all this under the hot blaring sun.

Sexy Thing
The minute I saw this beauty in its box, SEXY was the first word that comes to mind. I wanted to achieve that look where designers sell new products every season.. This sexy CHANEL heels was a good start for a product shoot with my new studio set up and minimum photoshop! The new pair was knicked (now she knows haha!!) from Miss Kitty who bought it from her recent trip to Europe... Beautiful!
Ladies, Would u buy it though just by looking at it?....I know it cost a bomb (about a the same cost as a canon 16-35mm lens to be exact)!
To Miss Kitty,
Thank u for delivering my studio stuffs by hand from London. I hope I did your sexy CHANEL heels justice. Great Taste Babes..

InspiRed Walk
*Click the above to enter gallery
Bandar was painted in RED this morning as everyone donned RED shirt in support of the AIDS Walk of Life. The event organised to create awareness and raise funds for the Brunei Darussalam Aids Council, started from the Taman SOAS and back. The effective buzz thru the air waves and blogs all week were apparent in the strong turn-out. I think everyone agrees that this should be an annual event in Brunei like in many cities around the world.
Congratulations to the Aids Council for a job well done...
Cool Mama....

Ber Shall Blog
Today in the middle of a meeting break, I was asked the question about blogging and about this site. WTF, I wanted to run but I was cornered and all eyes were on me waiting as if I'm being preyed on. What happen to my anonymity? Out the window.
It was not bad actually, it was all just in my head. In respond I went on to explain that this is a photoblog, my photojournal on anything and everything, with my passion for photography. In other words, I blog because I want!

Colourful Tamu
Tudung Saji or we call it Tudung Dulang or Tindulang?? Our traditional kind of food cover made of dried leaves, used to cover the food on table, keep it warm and keep the flies away (especially when it involves belacan..yummy!). It cost not more than $15 depending on the ornaments and intricate designs. These intricately designed type are often use for display or souvenir available at the Tamu in bandar.
Nowadays, the more modern plastic ones are more widely used in many household because of it's lasting properties than the traditional ones.
